Visual Art Rooted In Place
Paul Fellbaum is a Midwest visual artist who primarily works with watercolor, gouache, and ink. His work is inspired by trying to capture nuances in life or what the past could have been in that moment.
My work is a combination of realism and impressionism. I’m drawn to painting the character of moment, place, or memory that can be perceived and cemented. As moments in life move forward with no pause. Through painting, I try to capture not just what a subject looks like, but the feelings of stillness and movement.
